Frequently Asked Questions
1. How are you different than other Chiropractors?
There are 2 types of chiropractors. One type is a relief-care chiropractor. Relief-care chiropractors are interested in helping you get relief from your pain, but usually will not help you correct your problem for good. You may feel better for a while, but then you'll probably be back to where you started. The other type of chiropractor is the corrective care chiropractor. Corrective care chiropractors are interested in not only taking care of the problem you have right now, but correcting it for the long term, so your problem doesn't keep coming back. We are a corrective care chiropractic office. We use the most researched and advanced techniques available, including objective re-evaluations to make sure your problem is corrected for good.
2. Does the adjustment hurt?
The adjustment shouldn't hurt, it should actually feel good. We use one of the most gentle and state of the art techniques in chiropractic today. Today's techniques are very gentle. We take care of everyone from babies to great grandmothers.
3. What do you look for during an evaluation?
Using the latest technology available today, we look for misalignments of the spine, called subluxations. When spinal bones become misaligned due to trauma, poor posture or over-stressing the body, they pinch the delicate spinal nerves, causing your body to function poorly and develop disease. Since the spinal nerves control everything in your body, subluxations don't only cause pain, but a variety of other health problems.
4. What kind of conditions have you been able to help?
As you can see on our ‘Testimonial' page, we've helped people with everything from migraines and arm pain to heartburn, insomnia and low energy. Check out our ‘Chiropractic Info' page for research articles and case studies of conditions that chiropractors can help with. Please understand though, we do not treat symptoms or disease. We simply remove the interference in your brain and spinal cord so your body can heal and function the way it was designed to.
5. Do you see children in your office?
A large portion of our practice is helping children get the right start with their health. We also help parents with nutrition and exercise ideas for their kids.
6. Is chiropractic care expensive?
One of the reasons we see so many families in our office is because our care is affordable. Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care, but we have been able to help many families that have no insurance.
